So I made up a flyer and I plan on distributing them all over the place and generally putting them in as many annoying places as possible so that people will know that my zine exists. Yeah it's done. You wouldn't believe how much I procrastinated to make this issue either. Anyways, if you want a copy I will be mailing them for free(for a limited time anyways) to anyone who emails me and asks for a copy. Make sure that you include your shipping address in the email. If you like my art at all then you owe it yourself to just email me. This is what I've been working on instead of this blog and I love it when people ask for a copy. It makes me happy inside.

So this is the conflict that I'm facing people. Right now I've been hard at work on my second issue of my zine(Bear with a Chainsaw), drawing lots of new and original monsters for it. However, I feel that some of the zine's "specialness" will be stolen away from it if I post the art from it up here on my blog. That's why I've slowed so much from posting content.

I've yet to really come up with a good solution to this. My zine is nearing completion though and should be done in like a week or two. if you want a copy then let me know and email me. please.

So anyways work on the zine is going slower than forseen. I'm still waiting an indiscriminate time for one of my writers to turn in their article and I refuse to print until I have atleast three written entries done by people that aren't me(I had to cut the comic and I really don't want to cut anything else).

The monsters on the left are just silly doodles that stand no chance of getting published so I have no problem of showing you them here.
Also to help ease the wait until I start reposting again I would like to point out my new link list entitled "Webcomics that I like". Go and read some. They are all good in their own weird way especially Forming and Dr Mcninja, those are the best ones.

UPDATE: I've settled on the name "Bear With A Chainsaw" for my zine. I stole it from Uncle Eric. Everyone tell me what you think in the comments.

Zine making

I'm going to make a little zine for all your informations. If you don't know what a zine is it's pretty much just a self-published book. Mine is only going to be about twenty or so pages and is going to include several articles, a comic, a poem, and a bunch of my monster art. Unfortunately, for this first issue I'm probably going to just use older pictures of monsters that you've all seen before. But I do plan on having a couple surprises. I'm not going to post any of the monsters until I get my zine printed and distributed so if I don't post in a while don't worry, I'm still drawing stuff.

Also as soon as I finish the zine I'll be able to mail a copy to anybody who wants one. And I'll do it for free for this one.

If you know my brother Nolan go bug him and tell him to hurry up on my comic.

Ok so I don't actually have anything solid yet but I'm planning on selling either original drawings of some new special monster that I'll make or art prints of monsters that I've already drawn. Cd mix cover for my cousin

So I was able to churn out these two pictures and a song list(but that's not monster related so I'm not posting it). It's really nothing special except for the fact that he's an ALIEN! and I decided it fits into the bloodsucker theme that I had going several monsters back. Ok so this has been done for several days but since my modem passed away I haven't been able to access the internet.

So this monster was originally going to be a t-shirt design but then I got too into it and wasn't able to incorporate other elements that were in the original plan. So take it as it is I guess.

And tomorrow's and the day after tomorrow's posts are going to be a little different than usual. But the day after the day after tomorrow's post will be normal like usual. yay

This is a monster that I started a long time ago and just recently finally buckled down and finished. He's a breakaway from the vampire theme I had going so sorry if you expected another blood-sucker.

As far as the problem of this creature having no legs, I like to think he just floats by use of magic or something.

Double Vampire

This is what I would call a double vampire. It eats vampires like the one I drew below, by chomping there flesh into oblivion and drinking the stolen blood that spills forth. But they will eat normal prey if they're in a pinch.

Props to my cousin Arthur who, if I'm right, originally told me about his idea of double vampirism.

With this monster I wanted to do something a little different. I wanted to make a monster that was capable of emotion. In the end I think I failed but just in case you wanted to know this monster is supposed to be crying.

This was found in the abyss that is my hard drive. It is a pickleus vampirus. At night it wanders out into the garden and gorges itself on young cucumbers (some survive and also transform into pickle vampires! uh oh)

Personally, I don't think this monster is very original. It's part beholder(from "Big Trouble in Little China") and part Azothoth(from H.P. Lovecraft). I also drew it over a big crease in my moleskine and it was a pain in the butt and took forever. I hope you like.

Usually this monster is well defined with sharp lines but a problem between dimensions scanner and computer fuzzed it a little. On another note this monster appears to be a rock-dog-chameleon hybrid with tentacles.
