Cd mix cover for my cousin

So my awesome cousin asked me to make her some art for some cd mix she was putting together for some people. So I was able to churn out these two pictures and a song list(but that's not monster related so I'm not posting it). I'm sad that I never colored these and made them look super awesome but what can ya do. (and yes these two pictures are the same monster).

I've decided for better or worse not to do a series of pictures based on the vandalism that my five year old little brother did in my sketchbook. Instead I'll just be doing the usual stuff.

And on another note, along with this blog I also have a deviant art account! I post more stuff there since I do draw things sometimes that aren't monsters.

"Raded Stit" or "Veet"

On the left is the picture that I drew. Down below is the picture that my five year old brother drew. See the resemblance? I stole the design from my five year old brother. He drew a bunch of creatures like this one in my sketchbook. The one on the left is the first in a series in which I will be 'stealing' monster designs from my little brother. It's fun, and I even bought him his own sketchbook since he likes drawing so much.

First off, I would like to give a very big thank you to all the followers that I have seemed to garnered recently. To all three of you, you guys Rock Super Rocking Hard. Please keep that in mind at all times.

So this is my latest monster. And the last monster you'll see until I draw another one. It's really nothing special except for the fact that he's an ALIEN! and I decided it fits into the bloodsucker theme that I had going several monsters back. Just pretend I posted it back then and everything will be fine.

Caralee Starling

Well this is the first picture from a guest artist! Hopefully it won't be the last.

Caralee didn't have really anything to say about this. I hope you enjoy it. And remember if you want to help send in a monster picture of your own that would be awesome. Also maybe as a result a little monster art internet community would spring up and rock everyone's brains out. Imagine it just for a second. It would be epic.

Maze Monster

So this is one of the things that I said was a little different. It's a maze. Pick any path starting at the edge of his mouth and find your way to the little pimp at the right.

I will probably color this one and I may repost it if I do. Idk

Monster with tentacle mouth

Ok so this has been done for several days but since my modem passed away I haven't been able to access the internet.

So this monster was originally going to be a t-shirt design but then I got too into it and wasn't able to incorporate other elements that were in the original plan. So take it as it is I guess.

And tomorrow's and the day after tomorrow's posts are going to be a little different than usual. But the day after the day after tomorrow's post will be normal like usual. yay

No monster today but I would like to announce that my submission to booooooom finally got accepted. They featured five drawings that you've probably seen before. But I need to revel in my victory so go there anyways and then afterwords leave a comment. Because comments make you cool. Booooooom is an art site that posts art from various artists.

This is a monster that I started a long time ago and just recently finally buckled down and finished. He's a breakaway from the vampire theme I had going so sorry if you expected another blood-sucker.

As far as the problem of this creature having no legs, I like to think he just floats by use of magic or something.

Double Vampire

This is what I would call a double vampire. It eats vampires like the one I drew below, by chomping there flesh into oblivion and drinking the stolen blood that spills forth. But they will eat normal prey if they're in a pinch.

Props to my cousin Arthur who, if I'm right, originally told me about his idea of double vampirism.

Vampire beast

I wanted to draw something with vampiric powers but not a traditional vampire. So I came up with this.

Spider

The obvious inspiration for this drawing is obviously a spider. But since spider's are scary and giant spiders are monstrous I figure it counts.

I realize I haven't updated in a while. To make up for this I will be updating one new monster everyday for the next three days.

With this monster I wanted to do something a little different. I wanted to make a monster that was capable of emotion. In the end I think I failed but just in case you wanted to know this monster is supposed to be crying.

Clever thinking

Sometimes I draw a monster and it just feels uninspired.  Like all I did was collage parts together from past accomplishments and I end up with a "been-there done-that" feeling.  

This drawing is one of those monsters.

Mini Monster Special

This is a really little monster that I doodled in the front of my moleskine.  I really like it even if I just drew it on a whim.  

I will try to post more regularly.  But I just got a stupid job so if I don't please try to understand.

20th Monster

This is the most recent picture of mine.  Very fresh off the drawing board.  Sorry, I can't think of much to say since I just found out that Michael Jackson is dead.  I just feel sad for the man.  

An oldie monster

This drawing is several years old.  I may have even drawn it in high school! gasp.  Even though it's ancient, I thought it was just crazy and super enough to post.

Sometimes when I draw a picture the original idea and the final product end up completely different. Like this picture. It originally was a lot more boring looking.

Usually when I don't like a drawing from the outset, I won't like it when I finish it either.  Nevertheless, this little guy fought against crappy premise and design and somehow I actually like the end result.  

I also like to imagine that its mouth is lined with sharp little dagger teeth.

One day, several months ago, I was traveling from Logan to Provo and I happened to have a pen and some paper.  So I drew this.  Good story huh?

It's mindless, eyeless, earless, mouthless, and noseless.  Does it get around just by touch?

Another monster

I just finished drawing this monster today and I am very pleased.  It seems to me that all the little faces are going to drip off of him and leave him skinless.  Which would also be gross.

Pickle Vamp

This was found in the abyss that is my hard drive.  It is a pickleus vampirus.  At night it wanders out into the garden and gorges itself on young cucumbers (some survive and also transform into pickle vampires! uh oh)

tentacle ball

Personally, I don't think this monster is very original.  It's part beholder(from "Big Trouble in Little China") and part Azothoth(from H.P. Lovecraft).  I also drew it over a big crease in my moleskine and it was a pain in the butt and took forever.  I hope you like.

Rocky

Usually this monster is well defined with sharp lines but a problem between dimensions scanner and computer fuzzed it a little.  On another note this monster appears to be a rock-dog-chameleon hybrid with tentacles.

This is something horrible that I discovered while cleaning my room.  I drew it about a year ago I think.  I really like it.  

Totem pole of Death

This is something that I have been lazily working on.  I'm not sure if it even has a purpose.  Maybe it haunts your dreams?

I stole this creature from my brother's files.  He drew it.  I don't know much about it.  

The Arthurian

This is an arthurian.  It reproduces at a rapid pace and serves as livestock for higher predators.

This is a turtle-like creature that carries the souls of the damned upon it's wide back.

This creature was discovered in my moleskine.  Where I drew it.  It likes to eat little Arthurians.
